Kurbaan (2009)

Kurbaan is a Indian Bollywood film set against the backdrop of global terrorism, featuring real life couple Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor in pivotal roles with actor Vivek Oberoi, Rupinder Nagra, Om Puri and Kirron Kher.

Avantika Ahuja (Kareena) lives in the US, returns to Delhi after her father has a cardiac failure. While in Delhi she meets Ehsaan(Saif), who is a Delhi University Professor, where Avantika teaches Psycholog. Avantika (Kareena Kapoor) and Ehsaan (Saif Ali Khan. They get married and move to the US. After this, Avantika finds out that the neighbors are terrorists, which she discloses to Ehsaan, and then she realizes that she is a pawn in Ehsaan’s game. Ehsaan turns out to be a terrorist who marries her inorder to misrepresent his identity. Avantika is kept under house arrest after she comes to know about the true identity of Ehsaan and tries to run away. Sooner Avantika also finds out that Ehsaan plans to bomb several metro stations in New york.

She tries to foil the plan with the help of Riyaaz (Vivek oberoi) and is successful to some extent in her mission.

Kambakkht Ishq Releasing on 3rd July 2009

Kambakkht Ishq is an Indian Bollywood film directed by Sabbir Khan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The film is a remake of 2002 Tamil film, will feature Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor in pivotal roles along with actors Aftab Shivdasani and Amrita Arora in supporting roles. Hollywood actors Sylvester Stallone, Denise Richards and Brandon Routh will be appearing in cameo roles, Originally this film was scheduled to release in December 2008,but postponed due to extensive production work and is now proposed to release on July 3, 2009.

Kambakkht Ishq explores the relationship between two individuals as different from each other as chalk and cheese. No matter how many times they are pushed together, there are only fireworks... no fire. Viraj Shergill (Akshay Kumar) is a swashbuckling stuntman in Hollywood who believes that women are only good for two things: "making love" & "making love". Simrita Rai (Kareena Kapoor) is a firebrand who is more than able to stare down the most arrogant male with her caustic wit and sardonic tongue. She firmly believes that there is no such thing as love.

So what happens when the two people who hate each other the most meet at Simrita's best friend Kamini's (Amrita Arora) and Viraj's brother Lucky's (Aftab Shivdasani) wedding? The result is a wedding that both Viraj and Simrita are violently opposed to and desperate to stop. Sparks fly, accidents occur, and both are thrown together in the most absurd, hilarious situation until one dramatic twist of fate binds the two together in a manner that they could have never ever even dreamed of in their wildest fantasies.

New York to be released on June 26, 2009

New York is a forthcoming 2009 Bollywood film on 9/11 directed by Kabir Khan and produced by Aditya Chopra under the Banner of Yash Raj Films. New York is expected to be released on June 26, 2009.

New York tells the story of three friends portrayed by Katrina Kaif, John Abraham and Neil Mukesh whose "lives are turned upside down by events beyond their control." Shooting began in New York and Philadelphia in September 2008. During the filming in Philadelphia, local residents were surprised by what appeared to be FBI helicopters and SWAT teams until they realised it was part of a film shoot. In January, 2009 one of the New York crew members invited John Abraham, Katrina Kaif, and Kabir Khan and other members of the film crew to his birthday party at a local nightclub in New York. Crew members, who had arrived in one car, were allowed into the nightclub. Abraham, Kaif, and Khan along with Neil Mukesh, who had arrived in another, were denied access by security who did not recognize them and who demanded identification. Neither they nor crew members (who came from inside to help out) were able to convince security that they were important stars in India. By the time Abraham, Kaif, Khan, and Mukesh had returned with identification, the party had ended.
